A first class product which gives such a smooth close shave and I consider it to be an excellent Braun development. I have always found Braun to be far the best but this razor excels.
I found myself umming and ahhing about purchasing this product for about 2 months. I can honestly say its worth getting the price is off putting yes, but I have used this everyday for the last month. I have had no trouble with it, the shave it gives you is closest I have ever experienced from a electric shaver. I am still on the first cleaning cartridge that came with it! and i bought the product on the 23rd of June. I clean it every 2 days or so and then a intensive clean program on the weekend generally. The cartridge is still showing as full so that may alleviate some fears about running costs with the cartridge replacement. The lemony smell the cleaner uses is very subtle and understated. Even if you havent cleaned it for a few days the smell still lasts and it runs very smooth over your face. So all in all a top notch product yes the price is high but its a classic case of you get what you pay for. After all you only have one face!
I have over the years tried wet shaving and several types of electric shavers. No doubt that wet shaving gives the smoothest and best result - if you can stand the inevitable nicks and cuts, and the "mess" that you create. Lather ,soap, water splashes everywhere ... The Braun Series 7 is expensive, an sophisticated piece of German engineering, but in my opinion it's worth it. It shaves very cleanly, and is easy to hold and move around. It even shaves my neck without giving me a rash, which every other electric shaver I've tried have done. The cleaning system seems to provide a very clean shaver head and it feels "like new" every time. Having said that, I went on holiday for two weeks earlier and just rinsed it, so I doubt you really need the cleaning station every day. And I have not figured the cost of these cleaning refills, I suspect it'll fairly expensive over time, but so is good quality lather and new razor blades. In short, highly recommended!
My husband says best shave ever,,,quite noisy but the shave is so close that the noise doesn't matter. So nice not to have to clean the shaver. Compact and fits easily on a bedside table. Easy to set up the clean and renew system which seems to work very well...refill lasted a month for the first use.
Lives up to all other 'positive' Review comments. This is my 3rd Braun Shaver spanning many, many, years. The best yet, but I was more than satisfied with the others. Speaks for itself!!.

My wife bought me this as Christmas gift, initially I thought, great a new shaver! However, having now used this for some months I find there are a number of issues. The shaver itself feels good, it's design is excellent. The shave is not as close as my previous Braun, I find myself having to use a wet razor to finish the job off, not what you would expect from a shaver at this price. If your facial hair is slightly too long (a weekends worth of growth!) then this shaver is very inadequate. If used as a quick dry shave, it burns the skin slightly and leaves an irritating rash, so that is not really recommended, always use the moisturiser. It feels a little under powered too, I cant quite put my finger on what it is about this shaver but it just does not feel right! Would I recommend this shaver...no, I believe there are better shavers for less money, I have just ordered a new Braun, much to the annoyance of my wife!!
Well I needed an electric shaver to take to the gym in the mornings so that I could have a quick once over, tidy myself up ready for work and get moving. Now to be fair I'm not the hairiest man in the world, but this shaver does exactly that. Nice shave, don't feel many hairs tugged out rather than sliced. Couple of things I don't like, the shaved hair goes everywhere, my old one had something to catch the shaved hairs. Also the replacement plades are reasonably pricey in my opinion. Overally nice close shave and good sturdy looks, still prefer a proper wet shave though.
I really didn't expect this shaver to be this good.. My old Philips died and needed a replacement. I had been wet shaving for a couple of days and my craggy old chops looked like a war zone.. Nicks all over the place, and burning like a three bar electric fire.. Although it took a few weeks to return to some sort of human form, this shaver with it's nivea system really helped.Very close shave and for me worth every penny.Philips Nivea Coolskin HS8060 Moisturizing Rotary Rechargeable Shaving System
I've had this about a month now and am very pleased with it. I had one of the HS8060's predecessors and while that was good it was getting a bit long in the tooth - blades starting to getting dull and the battery life fading. So, it was time for a replacement. After the initial set up and first charge and fill it was time for it's first outing. Amazing. Probably as good as a wet shave. I'm well impressed. It looks pretty cool as well.
I bought my Philips 'coolskin' a month ago and in the first week I had used a whole cannister of moisturiser! I can now buy the stuff relatively cheap at asda but I use it more sparingly now (this second one has lasted 3 weeks so far}. Shaving is a pleasure and I can use it wet or dry. The battery holds its charge for a few days and the charging base automatically refills the shaver with moisturizer. Very convenient! Of course no electric razor is ever as close as a conventional wet shave but it does do a surprisingly good job. There's a slight rash on my neck but Im told that it can take weeks for sensitive skin to get used to it. Being a life-long wet shaver it took a long time to decide which electric shaver to buy but I am pleased with my choice.

I have bought different types of electric shavers over the years but, NOTHING is as good as Braun.
I've had this razor for over a year now (it was a present - I didn't buy it from Amazon) and I have to say I don't rate it at all. I had two very early model Remingtons, then a Philips three-head type before giving up on trying to achieve a decent shave and going back to wet-shaving for 25 years. Having incautiously expressed a desire to try out a more modern foil-type razor, I was given this as a birthday present and, frankly, I'd rather have had the traditional pullover or pairs of socks. I don't believe I have a particularly tough beard and I've no reason to suppose my technique is at fault but it seems to me that electric shavers just haven't advanced at all. I use it because it's quicker and more convenient than wet-shaving but if I want a really good "special night out" type of shave, this device just doesn't cut it (pun intended).
I have always used Braun shavers as they give me the closest shave. This model gives me the best shave ever and I am very pleased with it. I only get 3 shaves from each charging of the battery, but as it also works off the mains that does not create a problem. Re-charging time is much less than 1 hour. I am a bit concerned that the makers recommend changing the cutters and foils every year as currently they cost £23.00 which is about half of what I paid for it!
My Remington shaver battery wore out so I decided to get this shaver based on reviews and I'm now looking for another Remington and will never buy Braun again. I'd seen a couple of reviews noting the differences but chose to go by the majority of the opinions online, though a lot of people reviewing had used Braun for a while. The shaver is quieter but vibrates more and sends the vibrations into your face and the motor is very weak. I have to go over my stubble about 3 times to shift it. Although it lasts a while on batteries and charges quickly, it seems that the weak motor plays a part in this and as I have to shave for longer, the gain isn't significant. After shaving with my Remington, it would feel like a wet shave. This shaver leaves it at the 5 'o clock shadow level and there is still noticeable roughness. The protective case is bulky and the trimmer is awkward. Remington trimmers usually face out the side not the top and their protective covers go over the foil, not the whole shaver making it more compact for travelling.
4875 great shaver smooth shave. I used to own the classic "3 blade rotary shaver and had various models". This braun nails them flat end of. Very very powerful shave and close very close. Nearly as close as a wet shave, wish i had made the change years ago. I used to get the odd in grown hair, but not with this shaver. Also worth mentioning is i dont get any razor burn and i do have sensitive skin. The question remains how long will the foil last braun say 18months time will tell...but so far very good. Shaver is lounder than some perhaps a small negative. The bruan give you a strong solid powerful close shave, this statement probably sums it all up.
